GROUP SKI LESSONS FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN BECOMING SKI INSTRUCTORS.

This program is designed primarily for skiers aged 12 to 14 who would like to share their passion for skiing by becoming instructors, but are still too young for the official CSIA Level 1 certification (reserved for those 14 and older). Through targeted workshops, they’ll explore the basics of ski teaching, improve their technique, and develop leadership on snow. The goal: not to certify instructors, but to help them prepare for future training and employment. A great way to keep progressing while getting involved in a new way!

PROGRAM DETAILS

• Duration: 8 consecutive weeks
• First lesson: January 10, 2027
• Available times: Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Lesson duration: 3 hours
• Lift access: access to the ski lifts is included during all weekends of the program (Saturday and Sunday, all day), from the first to the last lesson (including postponements)

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum age: 12 years old (as of December 31)
• Minimum level: must have completed the Adventure 1 level of the Skier Development program
• Helmet strongly recommended

PLEASE NOTE

• This program is a great stepping stone toward a future instructor career but is not a mandatory prerequisite for employment.
• To officially become a certified instructor, you must:
  • Be at least 14 years old
  • Have completed the CSIA Level 1 certification (Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance)

OPTIONAL ADD-ONS

• Unlimited Pass at 50% discount: those who wish to ski before the start of the program, during the week, or after the end of the program, will be able to get an Unlimited Season Pass at 50% discount (an email will be sent to you in September to allow you to make this purchase).
• Seasonal equipment rental: includes skis, boots, poles and helmet. You keep the gear all season and can use it at any ski resort

Any changes to the registration before the program begins are subject to a $25 administration fee and are based on availability.

No changes are allowed once the program has started: the chosen day and time apply for the entire program.

Refunds before the program begins may be granted without justification. After the program begins, refunds are available on a pro-rated basis only for major medical reasons or relocation (supporting documents required). All program prices include a non-refundable $25 administration fee.

No refund, credit or make-up lesson will be issued for absences, regardless of reason.

The ski school reserves the right to modify the schedule or cancel and reschedule a lesson. If a lesson is cancelled due to weather, it will be automatically rescheduled at the end of the 8-week program by adding an extra Saturday or Sunday. More than one make-up day may occur in a season.

When a lesson is postponed, access to the ski lifts is extended, to include the weekend to which the course is postponed.

If a lesson is postponed but the ski lifts remain operational, the student still has access to the lifts for the entire weekend, in addition to the weekend to which the course is postponed.

WEATHER – It is the responsibility of the parent or participant to check whether the resort is open or lessons are cancelled. No individual notifications will be sent. In case of cancellation, a red banner will appear at the top of our homepage www.montrigaud.com and a message will be posted on our Facebook page facebook.com/montrigaud.
