GROUP SKI LESSONS FOR STAYING ACTIVE, IMPROVING TECHNIQUE, AND BUILDING CONNECTIONS.

Back this winter, Carole, our experienced and passionate instructor, leads the Senior Club every Tuesday at Mont Rigaud. This program is designed for skiers aged 55 and up who want to stay active and improve in a natural, welcoming environment. It blends physical activity, personalized progression, and social connection in a friendly atmosphere.

Being active outdoors means caring for your physical and mental health. Through supervised, regular ski sessions, participants enjoy the benefits of winter while embracing a balanced and active lifestyle.

Each 2-hour session includes a coffee or hot chocolate break to help build connections. Nearby parking, an adults-only chalet space, peaceful ambiance, and affordable pricing round out the experience.

TWO GROUP OPTIONS

• Morning (9:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.): For intermediate skiers, comfortable with parallel skiing on moderate terrain (green or blue trails), alternating between skidded and edged turns.
• Afternoon (12:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.): For beginner skiers who have previously skied easy trails in snowplough and are beginning to use parallel skiing at times.

PROGRAM DETAILS

• Duration: 8 consecutive weeks
• Start date: Tuesday, January 6, 2026
• Available times: Tuesday 9:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
• Lesson duration: 2 hours with a 15-minute break (coffee or hot chocolate included)
• Lift access: included during the lessons

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum age: 55 years old (as of December 31, 2025)
• Some skiing experience required
• Helmet strongly recommended

OPTIONAL ADD-ONS

• Snow School season pass: lets students ski outside of their lessons at a discounted rate
• Seasonal equipment rental: includes skis, boots, poles and helmet. You keep the gear all season and can use it at any ski resort

Any changes to the registration before the program begins are subject to a $25 administration fee and are based on availability.

No changes are allowed once the program has started, the chosen day and time apply for the entire program.

Refunds before the program begins may be granted without justification. After the program begins, refunds are available on a pro-rated basis only for major medical reasons or relocation (supporting documents required). All program prices include a non-refundable $25 administration fee.

No refund, credit or make-up class will be issued for absences, regardless of reason.

The ski school reserves the right to modify the schedule or cancel and reschedule a class. If a class is cancelled due to weather, it will be automatically rescheduled at the end of the 8-week program by adding an extra Saturday or Sunday. More than one make-up day may occur in a season.

WEATHER – It is the responsibility of the parent or participant to check whether the resort is open or lessons are cancelled. No individual notifications will be sent. In case of cancellation, a red banner will appear at the top of our homepage www.montrigaud.com and a message will be posted on our Facebook page facebook.com/montrigaud.
