VALID FROM 9AM UNTIL SUNSET, THIS TICKET GIVES ACCESS TO THE ALPINE TOURING TRAILS. A ticket designed for young adventurers eager to explore the mountain in a new way. Grants access to Mont Rigaud’s marked touring trails for both ascents and descents. Skiers and splitboarders may also descend via the open ski trails, but only with skins removed. Snowshoers must return via the touring trails, as snowshoes are not allowed on alpine runs.
A fun and original outdoor activity to move, learn self-paced effort, and enjoy the magic of the winter forest with family or friends.
---Alpine touring trails are open from 9 a.m. until sunset. Touring equipment is required (nordic skis, split snowboard or snowshoes). Please check trail conditions before your visit.Hiking without proper touring equipment is strictly prohibited.Refund policy: No refund, credit or date change is granted on tickets, regardless of the reason. CONDUCT AND SAFETY RULES - Check trail conditions and alpine touring trail status before heading out. - You must purchase an access pass before entering the ski trails or alpine touring trails. - Follow the markers indicated on the alpine touring map and respect all signage. - Respect the opening and closing hours of designated areas: from 9 a.m. until sunset, depending on the day. Ski tourers are responsible for verifying the daily sunset time. - No patrol services are provided on the ascent trail, even during the ski area’s operating hours. - Stay visible at all times and climb in a single file. - Descending on the ascent trail is strictly prohibited. - Access to closed trails is prohibited. - Travel only in areas where both ascent and descent are authorized. - Ski tourers are responsible for reporting any situation requiring assistance. - Cellular coverage may be weak or unavailable in certain areas. AUTONOMOUS ALPINE TOURING (outside the ski area’s operating hours) - Autonomous alpine touring is not permitted at Mont Rigaud. Alpine touring is only allowed from 9 a.m. until sunset, on days when the ski area is in operation. - In case of emergency, call 911. You are responsible for your own safety, for reporting any emergency, and for any evacuation that may be required. First aid knowledge is strongly recommended. - The ski area reserves the right to charge a minimum fee of $250 for any assistance requested outside operating hours and/or outside marked trails and designated areas. MOUNTAIN SAFETY TIPS - Do not tour alone (groups of at least three are recommended) and bring your own communication device. In case of an accident, your group may have to provide first aid, seek help, and carry out an evacuation. Be prepared! - Alpine touring involves sustained effort both uphill and downhill. It is often colder at the summit. Ensure you are physically fit and properly dressed. It is recommended to carry: a whistle, food, warm spare clothing, a first aid kit, and a headlamp. - Inform someone of your outing (a guardian angel). Share your departure time, planned route, and expected return time. Notify your guardian angel as soon as you are back. - Do not leave any waste or trace of your passage. Practice eco friendly behavior!
