A FIRST STEP TOWARD BECOMING A SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTOR.

This program is designed for snowboarders aged 12 and up who are interested in becoming instructors one day. Guided by experienced trainers, participants learn the fundamentals of teaching, reinforce their technical skills, and develop a strong sense of responsibility. It’s an excellent preparation for the next step!

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum age: 12 years old (as of December 31, 2025)
• Minimum level: must have completed Quickride Level 2 in the Rider Development program
• Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended

PLEASE NOTE

• This program is a great stepping stone toward a future instructor career, but it is not a mandatory prerequisite for employment.
• To officially become a certified snowboard instructor, you must:
  • Be at least 15 years old
  • Have completed the Level 1 CASI certification (Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors)

OPTIONAL EXTRAS

• Snow School Season Pass: for riding outside of class hours, participants in this program can get a discounted season pass.
• Seasonal Equipment Rental: includes snowboard, boots, and helmet. The equipment stays with you all season long and can be used at any ski resort.

Any change to the registration before the start of the program is subject to a $25 administrative fee and is dependent on availability.

No changes are allowed after the program has started: the selected day and time at registration apply for the full duration of the program.

Before the program begins, a refund may be granted without justification. After the program has started, a prorated refund may be granted only for a major medical reason or a move, with supporting documents. All program prices include a non-refundable $25 administrative fee.

No refund, credit, or make-up lesson will be offered for any missed class, regardless of the reason.

The Snow School reserves the right to modify the schedule or cancel and reschedule a lesson. In case of a weather-related cancellation, the missed class will automatically be added at the end of the 8-week program on an additional Saturday or Sunday. It is possible that more than one class may be rescheduled in the same season.

WEATHER – It is the participant’s or parent’s responsibility to verify if the resort is open or if classes are cancelled. No individual notifications will be sent. In case of closure or cancellation, a red banner will appear at the top of our homepage www.montrigaud.com and a message will be posted on our Facebook page facebook.com/montrigaud.
